Anthony “Tony” Braegger, 49, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away at his home on Monday, May 13, 2024. A small service will be held at Teeter Park in Riverton on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 5:00 pm. Friends and family are asked to gather starting at 4:00 pm and a pot luck dinner will follow. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Chandelle Event Center. Anthony Ray Braegger was born on July 15, 1974 in Ogden, Utah to Philip Lynn and Debra Ray (Udink) Braegger. He grew up in Robertson and Mountain View, Wyoming. He graduated from Mountain View High school and attended MIT.
Tony started working as a seismic operator on the oil rigs after leaving MIT. This career allowed him to tread numerous states and countries. He also worked as a lineman and as a certified explosives specialist. Later in life he was a dedicated security guard. The last five years he was the Senior Security Officer Supervisor for Wind River Job Corps. Of all Tony’s careers, his favorite of them all was being a husband and father.
Tony loved being active in the rodeos, hunting, fishing, BBQing, gaming and working with electronics.
On February 25, 2023 he married Michelle Lynn Brockman in Riverton, Wyoming. They just celebrated their first anniversary this last February.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Brockman-Braegger; sons, Philip Braegger, Cameron Braegger, and Brandon Levi Harmon; mom, Debra Rae Braegger; sisters, Catina (Robert) McWilliams and Crystal Harter; niece, Jessica Harter; nephews, Tyler Harter, Bud McWilliams and Kade McWilliams; and best friends, Bryan Jochumson, Michael Chamberlan, and Abigail Page.
He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Braegger; and grandparents, Phylis and Bud Anthony Braegger and Ladeen and Lawrence Ray Udink.
