A Memorial service for Jess Justice, 83, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home.  Military graveside rites will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Fellowship Church in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main St., Riverton, WY  82501.

 

 Mr. Justice passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in Casper, Wyoming.

 

Norval Leon “Jess” Justice was born on July 4, 1940, son of Leroy and Anna (Isaac) Justice in Brule, Nebraska. In 1947, the family moved to Pavillion, Wyoming, where he attended school and later studied at Cheyenne Business College. He honorably served in the United States Navy before moving back to Kinnear, Wyoming, where he remained for the next 36 years.

 

On December 15, 1965, Jess married the love of his life, Mary Williamson in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

 

During his working career, Jess spent time working for Western Paving Construction, Gilpatrick Construction, Cal Gas, Salt Creek Freightways and Platte Valley Construction before he opened his own business, Central Wyoming Backhoe and Fence, Inc. in 1976.  Jess worked up until he passed away.

 

In his spare time, Jess enjoyed collecting coins and guns and was an avid hunter.  He liked to play a good game of cribbage, spend time in his garden and cooked for his family as well as spend quality time with his grandkids, quilting and was known to be a good 0handyman.  He served as a volunteer firefighter and city council member in Pavillion, WY. 

 

Mr. Justice was a member of the Church of God in Anderson, Indiana and the Faith Fellowship Church in Riverton, WY.  Jess was known to where many hats in the church including chairman of the board, usher, greeter, Sundy school teacher and treasurer.  He was instrumental in the construction of the church and was a founding member of the Faith Fellowship Church.

 

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Justice of Kinnear, WY; son, Sean and Janet Justice and their children, Chanteal and her husband, Michael, D’Artanian and Luke Justice, son, Aaron and April Justice and their children, Landon and Claire Justice.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Anna Justice.
