A Celebration of Life for Joseph Scholz, 72, will be held at a later date. Mr. Scholz passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at his home for over 30 years on Clothesline Road in Shoshoni, Wyoming. Memorial contributions may be made the Joseph Scholz Cancer Fund in care of Central Bank and Trust, 220 North Federal Blvd, Riverton, WY 82501.
Joseph was born on November 6, 1951, son of Clarence Joseph and Carmen Vanita (Woodward) Scholz in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
He attended schools in Thermopolis and enlisted in the United States Army before he graduated high school. Mr. Scholz honorably served during the Vietnam War.
On October 8, 1994, Joe married Carol Fisk in Worland, Wyoming.
He found satisfaction in his life being on the road for over 50 years driving truck. Joe enjoyed many hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling and boating trips with his friends and family. He was Father to many children that he didn’t have to be, Joe stepped up and has 4 littles left at home that will miss him dearly.
Joe was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Scholz of the family home; sons, Jon McConahay and his friend, Billie, Bryce Scholz and wife Lacey and Joey Latmer; daughter, Angel Scholz; brother, Terry Scholz; sister, Sue Schaffrick and her husband, Dale; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; special family, Leslie Todd, Skye Amos, Michelle Woodward, Heather Eastwood and Kayla Bailon.
Mr. Scholz was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Carmen Scholz and sister, Tresa Wagner.
