Funeral services for Rebecca “Reba” Marie Hanway, 70, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2024 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Eagle Hall with a wake to follow.
Ms. Hanway passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rebecca Marie Hanway was born on March 2, 1954, daughter of Herman Joseph and Antoinette Dolores (Gambler) Hanway in Riverton, Wyoming.
During her lifetime, she lived on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming as well as in Montana, California, and Utah. She worked with heavy duty machinery at Job Corps in Montana.
In her pastime, Reba enjoyed beading, walking, dancing, and singing. She also enjoyed cleaning, socializing, meeting new people and loved to tell stories.
Survivors include her children, Monty Dane Fox, Bobby Mae Fox and Lillian Lee Fox; sister, Bernadette Hanway; 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Ms. Hanway was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Antoinette Hanway; sisters, Dora Gambler, Miranda Hanway, Lavera Hanway Ortiz, and Priscilla; brother, Franky Hanway; niece Antoinette “Toni” Hanway Alvarez; grandson, Angel Manuel Alcantar; the love of her life, Rudy Curry.
