Milton "Pete" Trosper III

Milton “Pete” Trosper III, 27, of Ethete, Wyoming passed away in Denver Colorado, Wednesday, July 10, 2024. There will be a Rosary with a Vigil held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Blue Sky Hall followed by an all-night wake at Maxine Trosper’s Residence, 142 Trosper, Lane. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Blue Sky Hall with burial to follow at Yellow Calf Cemetery. 

Milton, better known as Pete, Petey, Petrie was born July 22, 1996 to Milton Trosper, Jr. & the late Michelle Harris in Lander, Wyoming.  Pete was born & raised in Mill Creek, Wyoming.  Pete was a humble but proud member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe and participated in cultural events and participated in his Northern Arapaho Ceremonies that he cherished up to the time of his passing.  He was bound & determined to make it home & he did. His Northern Arapaho name was Nii’eihii Ceebi’ohut “Bird Flying.” 

 

Pete attended pre-school & Kindergarten at Wyoming Indian Elementary School & went on to attend junior high & high school at Wyoming Indian and was a proud Chiefs and Lady Chiefs fan all his life.  While growing up Pete participated in many activities from soccer, basketball, football & wrestling, where one of his proudest moments was being selected to participate in the Down Under Bowl for wrestling where he placed 2nd.  Pete also made All Conference & All State in wrestling his senior year. He graduated in 2014. 

 

Pete had many hobbies; his favorite being Hunting every chance he had.  He loved to spend time in the mountains especially with family & friends.  Pete was a natural mechanic where he received college credits during high school in the vo-tech program where he was just shy of being an ASE mechanic.  Pete was always willing to lend a hand to people fixing their vehicles to get their rides back on the road. He was always willing to help whether it was family or a stranger in need.  Pete was an all-around cowboy and grew up working around the ranch. He loved working cows and you could always count on him to help his grandpas, uncles & friends with ranch work & branding.   

 

Pete began working at the Arapaho Ranch when he was 14 years old, cowboying, ranching & working hard.  Pete broke out in the oil field at the age of 19.  Pete was a hardworking, strong, & tough young man. He could outwork the best of them from the crown to the ground & always completed his tour of duty.  Pete worked on the rigs as a Derrick hand throughout Wyoming, North Dakota & Colorado. 

 

Pete met Elsie Marquez in 2016 and together they have four children.  In 2017 Pete’s first-born son Adavian Alan joined his family followed by Eavander B. Lyle in 2019 & in 2023 his baby girl Maikalani was born.  Pete raised Eaveza Aragon as his own since she was 9 months old. 

 

Pete was a diehard Raiders fan, through and through, and each year he looked forward to the NFL season.  Pete always had a big smile, made people laugh, was a protector, and will be deeply missed by all his loved ones. 

 

Pete is survived by his companion, Elsie Marquez & children Adavian, Eavander, Maikalani & Eaveza Mae; his father Milton, Jr. & Hunka Mother Margaret; brothers, Robert Reed, Terrence Bell, Jayden Walker & Jesse Youngchief; Sisters, Maurisa Bell, Ashleigh, Joely & Alexandria Trosper, Natalia Montclair, Shauna & Megan Long; Adopted parents, Skeeter & Nira Youngchief;
