Jamie Harvey

Dec 23, 1963 - Jul 11, 2024

Jamie K. Harvey, a native of Rawlins, Wyoming, where she spent her childhood and graduated from high school in 1982, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family after a hard, fought battle with cancer on Thursday, July 11, 2024. At the time of her passing, she was residing in Riverton, Wyoming.

Jamie treasured her moments with her beloved husband and soul mate, Randy Harvey, particularly their time together on their South Pass property. Whether fly fishing in serene creeks or lending a hand in their farming endeavors, she relished their shared experiences. Known for her vibrant spirit, Jamie was the life of the party, often serving as the resident DJ with an eclectic taste in music. Her affection extended to her cherished pets, and she also enjoyed the occasional thrill of testing her luck and skill at the casino.

In addition to her hobbies, Jamie's greatest joy was spending time with her family: her husband Randy, daughter Aubrey Griffiths, son-in-law RJ Griffiths, and cherished grandchildren Emma, Broc, Jace, and Rylan Griffiths. She was also deeply connected to her extended family and friends.

Jamie had a profound love for all living creatures, demonstrating her compassionate nature by caring for and nursing back to health countless animals. Her generosity extended beyond her home, as she actively supported community nonprofits like Helping Hands Homemakers and various animal rescue groups. Jamie initiated a monthly birthday club, forging lasting connections with those she celebrated.

Jamie was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Carolyn Bourke of Riverton, and grandparents Paul and Glee Bourke, as well as her nephew Jeremy Harvey, niece Anna Rose Holder, and father-in-law Wayne Harvey.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Randy Harvey; daughter Aubrey Griffiths, son-in-law RJ Griffiths, and grandchildren Emma, Broc, Jace, and Rylan Griffiths; sister Jana Allen (Charlie); brother Mike Bourke (Kathy); mother-in-law Irene Harvey; brother-in-law Harold Harvey (Jill); sister-in-law Pam Holder (Alan); sister-in-law Deb Ready (Jace); brother-in-law Wayne Andersen; nieces and nephews; Deb Jo Nelson, Shelby Allen, Tawna Harris, Mandy Young, Kal Ready, Klay Ready, Brittney Ready, Seth Allen, Tatum Koch, Cully Bourke, Cami Andersen, Roxi LaClaire, and Tandi Metoyer.

A celebration of Jamie’s life will be held on July 27th at 2 PM on the family mountain property. Please contact the family for further details.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all their relatives and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. Special thanks to the members of the ‘birthday club’ for their comforting meals and support.
