Connie Dale, 78, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away at the Sage West Hospital – Riverton on Friday, July 12, 2024. A celebration of Connie's life is pending.
Connie Karen (Stephens) Dale was born on February 28, 1946 in Fort Washakie, Wyoming to William Arthur and Elva Iva (DeShaw) Stephens. She was raised by her grandmother, Emma DeShaw, after her mother passed away when she was one year old. Connie was raised with her two sisters, Iva Mae and Birdie. She graduated from Morton High School. Connie was a lifelong resident of Fremont County and an enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe.
Connie was baptized into the Episcopal Faith.
On August 31, 1963 she married the love of her life, Bradford “Brad” Dale; they celebrated 60+ years of marriage. Together they raised their three children, Bert, Brenda, and Bart.
Connie was a cosmetologist for many years, owning Connie’s Salon. In addition to cosmetology, she started CD Flagging, CD Signs, and B&B Aggregate. As a successful business owner, Connie was recognized and awarded by the U.S. Small Business Administration with the Minority Small Business Advocate Award. Today, CD Signs and B&B Aggregate are owned and operated by her sons, and her granddaughter Celeste Pince owns the salon.
Connie loved to golf and as a member of the Riverton Country Club; you could find her enjoying her summer days on the course. She loved to be outside gardening and watching sports– especially her grandsons’ baseball games. She loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their activities. Connie loved her family and dogs; they were the most important thing in her life.
She is survived by her husband, Brad Dale; sons, Bert Dale and Bart Dale and wife, Kristi; daughter, Brenda Barlow and husband Steve; brother-in-law, Bret Dale and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Brittany Barlow-Christoffersen and husband, Scott, Celeste Barlow-Pince and husband, Nick, Shanda Barlow and husband, Nic Fenton, Blake Dale, and Brodie Dale; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Stephens and Elva Iva Stephens; sisters, Iva Mae and Birdie; mother-in-law, Dolly Dale, and grandparents.
