Richard “Dick” Jacques, 70, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away at his home on Saturday, August 1, 2024. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at Davis Funeral Home on Friday, August 9, 2024. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Richard James Jacques was born December 31, 1953 in Casper, Wyoming to James Lewis and Caroline (Gordon) Jacques. He grew up in the Kinnear, Wyoming area where he was active in 4-H, FFA, and Student Council He graduated from Wind River High School with the class of 1972.
Dick worked for the Wyoming Highway Department after high school. He had many different businesses over the years, including, The Bull Restaurant, J and R Cycles, The Basketria in Pavillion, worked construction, and farmed. Being a strong community member, he volunteered at the Pavilion Fire Department.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, taking care of his farm and the animals. His Harley’s were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his son, Bill Jacques; daughter, Marja Jacques; grandchildren, William Jacques, Nevaeh Jacques, and Aryana Jacques; sisters, Linda (James) Burhans, and Sandra (Wes) Hust; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Caroline Jacques.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to be made to Wind River FFA, in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
