Funeral services for Brittany Spoonhunter, 36, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2024 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery. A Vigil service with a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with a wake to follow at Eagle Hall.
Brittany passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the Help for Health Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family.
Brittany Katherine Spoonhunter was born on November 22, 1987, daughter of Alfred M. Spoonhunter, Jr. and Lori Ann (Norse) Spoonhunter in Riverton, Wyoming. She attended Wyoming Indian High School.
Ms. Spoonhunter worked as a cashier for 789 Smokeshop & Casino and Hines Trading Post. In her free time, Brittany enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball, camping, hunting and fishing as well as listening to loud 70’s and country music. She took pride in cooking and organizing and loved to watch a good movie. Brittany believed in her Native American traditions by participating in pow wows, sweats, peyote meetings, Sundance and traditional dancing.
Brittany was baptized into the Catholic faith and believed in the Native American Church.
