Mary Margaret Paulsen, 85, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away at her home on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Through tears of sorrow after 20 days without the love of her life she was called to join him, so once again for their union could be complete.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Dubois Cemetery in Dubois, Wyoming.
Mary Margaret Easterday was born on January 6, 1939 in Laramie, Wyoming to Thomas Earl and Katherine Ann (Pappas) Easterday. She grew up in Saratoga, Wyoming and graduated from Platte Valley High School.
Mary Margaret was baptized into the Episcopal faith.
While living in Laramie she worked at a filling station and a shoe store, where she found her love of shoes. She moved to Dubois after graduation where she waited tables. Once she settled in Riverton, she was the secretary for Jack Minter and Minter 21 Realty. She was a member of the Riverton Jaycees and enjoyed all the activities.
On August 15, 1959 she married the love of her life Lyle Leonard Paulsen in Laramie, Wyoming. Together they had three children, Becky, Margaret Ann and Tom. Lyle passed on July 29, 2024. They would have been married 65 years.
Mary Margaret enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, playing golf, fishing for Brook Trout, playing bridge, and traveling with her husband. She loved spending time with family and friends. She will dearly miss all of her bridge friends, they were always there to brighten her day.
She is survived by her son, Tom and Kristin Paulsen and their children, Britney and Justin Wood, Cassie Paulsen, and T.J. Paulsen; daughter, Becky Emerson and son-in-law, Bob Emerson and their children, Britte and Rustin Roth and Chase and Kodi Emerson; great-grandchildren, Emersyn Brielle Roth, Beckett Ruby Roth and Parker Wood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Katherine Easterday; and husband, Lyle Paulsen; daughter, Margaret Ann Paulsen; sister-in-law, Sandra Leseberg; brother in law, Gerald Paulsen; brothers-in-law, Billy Leseberg and Arlie Satterfield; and grandson, Reed Paulsen.
