A Funeral Mass for Ann Codevilla, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 2, 2024 at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at the Dubois Cemetery.  Ann lost her battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Sunday, August 18, 2024 in Denver, Colorado.

Ann Marie Blaesser was born in Madison, Wisconsin on April 19, 1944 to William and Helen Blaesser. She graduated from high school in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ann went on to attend Douglass College in New Brunswick, NJ, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in the class of 1966.

While at college, Ann met and dated Angelo Codevilla. The two married December 31, 1966. In 1967, Ann attended the University of Michigan where she earned her Master’s degree in political science. She then taught for a few years at a junior college in Los Angeles before starting her family and devoting herself to her children.

Ann and Angelo had five children, four boys and a girl. They lived in many places including France, California, Virginia, Wyoming and more. They spent summers in Dubois where Ann loved riding horses and pack trips into the wilderness with her family. She loved photography, reading, cooking, and baking, and remembering everyone’s birthday with a phone call and a card.

Ann’s friends and family will always remember her as a kind and generous person who loved life and helping others as best she could. Ann loved being a mother and we will all miss her forever.

She is survived by her brother Brian, her children David, Peter (Beach), Michael (Lisa), Elizabeth and Thomas: her grandchildren John, Thomas, Jack, Mary, Stephen, Benjamin, Jeffrey, and Madelyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and her husband.
