A Memorial service for LaVaughn Richardson, 79, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home with inurnment to immediately follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Ms. Richardson passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at her home in Pavillion, Wyoming.
LaVaughn was born on January 4, 1945, daughter of Howard S. and Louise H. (Wempen) Richardson in Pavillion, Wyoming. She lived in Pavillion throughout her entire life with the exception of a short time living in Hudson, Wyoming.
For over ten years, LaVaughn worked for the Riverton Memorial Hospital and spent almost twenty years working at the Riverton Walmart.
LaVaughn enjoyed playing puzzles on her computer, crocheting, gardening and texting with her friends and family.
Survivors include her son, Michael Swank and his companion, Patty of Hudson, WY; daughters, Jennifer Swank of Pavillion and Brenda French and her husband, Jeff of Georgia; grandchildren, Tyler and Devin French; sister, Phyllis “Jane” Loghrey of Cheyenne, WY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Donald Swank and Stacey Swank; brothers, Cecil and his wife, Avis Richardson, Allen and his wife, Helen Richardson, Robert and his wife, Nina Richardson and Howard Richardson; sister, Ila (Richardson) Larsen and her husband, Mel Larsen; nephew, Joseph “Joe” Richardson.
