Shad Mills, 30, of Lander passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 5:00 PM in Big Piney at the Community Building at the Fairgrounds.
Shad Allan Mills was born on April 13, 1994 in Jackson, Wyoming to Timothy Mills and Jonnel Hintz. He grew up in Wyoming and Colorado. He graduated with the class of 2012 from Rifle High School in Rifle, Colorado. He participated in the Little Britches Rodeo and High School Rodeo.
He spent most of his life in Wyoming and Colorado. He was a die-hard cowboy, lived the life to its fullest, and loved everything about it. Shad worked on numerous ranches in Colorado and Wyoming.
Shad’s greatest moment is when he became a father to his baby girl, Katie Jo.
He is survived by his wife, Jodi Alley of Lander, Wyoming; daughter Katie Jo Mills of Lander, Wyoming; mother, Jonnel Horrocks; father, Tim and Annie Mills; brothers, Jace Mills, Daton Mills, and Joshua Mills; sisters, Ashley Sill and Jonny Rose Stone; and grandparents, John Hintz of Big Piney, Wyoming and Tim Mills of Riverton, Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Debbie Hintz and Alfreda Mills.
