Georgene Gothard ,77, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Memorial services to be held at a later date.
Georgene was born June 15, 1947 in Park City, Utah to Dudley and Hazel (Rasmussen) Davey. She grew up with three brothers and four sisters in Jeffrey City, Wyoming. Being the oldest she helped her mom with raising her siblings and was said to always have a baby on her hip.
She married Carrol Allen Gothard September 9, 1967 in Jeffrey City, Wyoming they were married for 31 years before he passed away. They lived many places over the years but eventually settled in Riverton, Wyoming.
Georgene loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and quilting, watching the game show network and going to bingo, doing puzzles with her great-niece Brielle Fryer, watching dancing with the stars (she even got to see them in-person) watching scary movies and traveling with her daughter.
She is survived by her son, Shannon Gothard; daughter, Yvette (Chris Blumenshine) Gothard; brother, Skipper (Linda) Davey; sisters, Sandra Davey, Chris East, Tammy (Marvin Wiggins) Davey and Mary Lou (Mark Leonhardt) Davey; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She is preceded by parents, Dudley and Hazel Davey; husband Carol Allen Gothard; brothers Michael Davey and Freddie Davey; and niece Tiffany Davey.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
