Shannon Murray Amos-Nice Jr., 20, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024.  A prayer service will be held at Great Plains Hall in Arapaho, Wyoming from 3:00-9:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2024 followed by a wake at the family’s residence, 303 Left Hand Ditch.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Gillette Memorial Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming at 3:30 pm.  Interment will follow the service at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. 

 

Shannon Murray Amos-Nice Jr. was born on December 16, 2003 in Lander, Wyoming to Shannon Murray Amos Sr. and Debra Jo (Antelope) Elk Boy.  He stayed in Fremont County until he was 16 years old and then he made his home in Gillette for the remainder of his life. 

 

He attended school at Wyoming Indian, Shoshone, Cambell County and Yes House School.

 

Shannon loved football, basketball and video games and cruising around.

 

He worked in the oilfields and enjoyed driving for Doordash when he wasn’t in the oilfield.

 

Shannon was of Christian Faith.

 

He is survived by his mother, Debra J. Antelope-Elk Boy; adopted mother, Maxine Nice; brothers, Mato Amos, Makpiyato (Sky) Amos, Kyle Leonard Amos; adopted brothers, Chase Nice, Chance Nice, and Cody Nice; Sisters, Honey Amos, Bryaira White Eagle, Denissa Elk Boy, Tawny Elk Boy, Jolena Brewer; adopted sisters, Cayla Nice, Ciara Nice; girlfriend Sarah Ford; families, Friday, Valdez, Wallowing Bull, Augustine, C’Hair, Loneman, Lee, Willow, Lincoln, Spoonhunter, Produit, Goggles, Hutchinson, Fletcher, Gambler, White Antelope, Antelope, Morrison. 

 

Shannon was preceded in death by his father, Shannon Amos Sr.; brother, Sage White Antelope; grandparents, Joseph and Stella White Antelope and Nancy Dice; cousin, Joseph Antelope.
