Celebration of Life
April Ann Locker, 50, of rural Riverton, Wyoming passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 after a four-year battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Reach Foundation Clubhouse in Riverton.
April Ann Folsom was born on April 12, 1974 in Binghamton, New York to William R. and Maggie (Barden) Folsom. She was raised by Mark and Maggie Barnes. April grew up along the Eastern Sea Board on various Naval bases. She settled to Riverton, Wyoming in 2000.
On August 8, 2005 she married Russ Locker in Riverton. Together they raised two children Michael, and Alyssa Locker. April was devoted to her family and friends. She was known for her willingness to help anyone and an outgoing positive attitude.
April enjoyed all activities outdoors including Dutch oven cooking, camping, side-by-side trips and especially fishing. However, she never lost her fondness for the oceans that she had grown up around.
She is survived her husband, Russ Locker of Riverton; sons, Roderick Barnes of New Mexico and Michael Locker of Riverton; daughter, Alyssa Locker of Riverton; parents, Maggie and Christopher Daubin of Montana, Richard and Connie Folsom of Florida, and Mark and Lucy Barnes of Florida; sister, MaryBeth Oatsvall and husband, Greg of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and brother, Stephen M Barnes and significant other, Tasha Wilson, of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Rita Barden. Richard and Patricia Folsom, and Norman and Vivian Barnes.
