LeRoy Rossi, 54, of Lander, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Sage West Hospital - Lander. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Davis Funeral Home.

 

LeRoy Frank Rossi was born May 26, 1970 in Lander, Wyoming to Frank Herman and Darlene Geraldine (Raynor) Rossi. He grew up in Lander graduating from Lander Valley High School and received his Associates Degree from Sheridan College.

 

 

 

LeRoy was baptized into the Roman Catholic faith while he was in the armed forces.

 

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

 

On August 14, 1990 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  He was an Aviation Structural Mechanic Hydraulic Airman (AMHAN). While he was in the service, he earned the following, 2 Southwest Asia Service Medals, National Defense Service Medal, 4 Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, and Sea Service 1st Good Conduct Awards and Ribbons. He was Honorably discharged on August 11, 1994 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After the service he lived in Nevada and Florida before coming home to Wyoming.

 

LeRoy was a talented artist with many different mediums. He loved creating a piece that was unique.  He also enjoyed mechanics, welding, automotive restoration, fishing, camping, hunting, martial arts, off roading, gold mining, and cooking.

 

He is survived by his son, Jami Rossi; mother, Darlene Rossi; sister, Yvonne Rossi-Thornley and her family; and  brother, Travis Rossi and family.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Rossi; and grandparents, Charles and Betty Rossi and Geraldine and Charles Raynor.
