Joseph MIller

Nov 2, 1974 - Nov 2, 2024

Funeral services for Joseph “Joe” Miller, 69, will be held at a later date.

Joe  passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Billings, Montana.

Joseph Raymond Miller was born on July 21, 1955, son of Frank M. and Regina (Grabowski) Miller in Riverton, Wyoming, where he grew up and graduated high school at the old Tonkin building.

Following graduation, Joe started working in the oilfield, followed by time spent in construction and mining, where he loved blasting mining patterns.  He lived in Elko, Carlin, and Ruth Nevada while working in the mines. He entered into the field of truck driving for his brother, Ed Miller,  71 Construction before finally working for Alexander Exploration.  Joe fondly enjoyed finishing his days working for Wade.

During his spare time, you could find Joe in the outdoors fishing or hunting.  He will be remembered for his love of his grandkids and his brothers, Ed and Dave.  Joe was known for orneriness as well as his selflessness.  Always willing to give anything to anyone, even when he disliked them.  Joe found such peacefulness and a quiet feeling while admiring the beauty on the Wind River Reservation, where he called home.

Survivors include his children, Joe Miller and his fiancé, Shawna, Jason L. Miller and Makayla E. Miller and her significant other, Kenneth; step-mother, Emma Miller; grandchildren, Tristen, Frankie, Johnny, Gage, and Ryder; brothers, Ed and Neva Miller and David Miller; sisters, Sissy Herbst and Tez Skinner; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Miller and Regina and Yngve Hagstrom; and grandson, Jasper Miller.
