Asher Fritz

Asher Fritz

Mar 7, 2021 - Oct 30, 2024

Asher James Fritz was a loving child and a shining light in this world. He was taken by a tragic accident on October 30, 2024 along with his mother, Amber and his grandmother, Khristy.

Asher was born on March 7, 2021 to Amber Fritz. He was the light of his mother’s life and a joy to everyone around him. Despite being born with health issues, Asher thrived and enjoyed life to the fullest. In the early months of his life, he proved he was a fighter by recovering quickly from his surgeries. Tetralogy of Fallot never slowed this boy down!

He had a unique bond with his Uncles and his Aunt Yah-Yah (known to everyone else as Lea). Asher was convinced that he was in charge at Trailhead and he loved everyone there. Most of the workers knew Asher throughout his entire life. He enjoyed going around with Lea in the mornings to tell all the customers “Good Morning Friends” and considered the whole restaurant his playground. Many of his first memories were had there amongst the waitresses and staff including the very first time he saw snow hanging out with “Buddy” (Vashon). Joan was his biggest fan and so many more of the staff went out of their way to include him in the life of the restaurant.

Asher loved Spiderman, Batman and all things Harry Potter. Amber was excited to be able to take Asher to Disneyland where he quickly fell in love with all the rides. He had no fear on all the fast rides and was so excited to see everything. As soon as they got home, Asher was quick to tell his Uncle Daniel that next time, they were ALL going to go to Disneyland together.

Asher loved going to preschool and liked showing off his artwork. He was a very fast learner and highly intelligent! He found it very fun to play with his cousins and cuddle with his dogs. His fluffy dog, Juvia, was his best buddy and willing pillow when he watched a show. Asher was such a bright light and a joy to be around.

Asher is survived by his uncles, Daniel (Jessica) Fritz, Andrew (Andrea) Fritz, Ezra (Hannah) Schooner; his honorary Aunty Lea “Yah-yah” Hutt; his cousins, Titus, Lou, Emma, Mack, Darian, Carson, Derek, Gabriel and Mia; his great uncles, Jim (Doreen) McKenney and Todd McKenney; several loved cousins, Roy, Logan, AJ, Brittany, Julie, Sam and Tanner and his honorary family at Trailhead.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Amber Fritz; grandparents, Dan and  Khristy Fritz and cousin, Triton Fritz.

In America, only about 27% of homes have a Carbon Monoxide Detector and even less then that are up to date or tested monthly. Remembering to test your Carbon Monoxide Detectors each month could mean the difference between life and death. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous, colorless and odorless gas which is impossible to detect without an alarm. The U.S. Fire Administration estimates more than 200 people die every year from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning. These types of incidents happen when things like appliances, equipment and vehicles are faulty, improperly used or not properly vented. As with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors should be installed on each level of the home and outside EVERY sleeping area. The batteries should also be tested monthly. If you have any gas appliances at all, check your home to be sure you have the correct number of Carbon Monoxide Detectors and that they are tested regularly.

Funeral services will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church (3611 Riverview Road, Riverton, WY) on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Fremont Center, Fremont County Fairgrounds.
