Amber Marie Fritz, 33, was a charismatic daughter, a wonderful sister and above all else, a fantastic mother. On October 30, 2024 a tragic accident took her life along with the lives of her 3 year old son, Asher and her mother, Khristy.
Amber was a free spirit who started her first job at the age of 15. While still in her teens, she moved from The Breadboard to working at The Trailhead Restaurant, which became her second home. Even while working full time, Amber studied and did her High School work online, graduating through Penn Foster. Amber was only 16 when she bought her Mustang and in her early 20s when she bought her own house. These were huge accomplishments for her and made her proud.
Amber had a passion for reading, traveling, cooking and so much more. She loved her bulldog, Rufus, but her life was made complete when she had her son, Asher. She loved spending time with her son and going on adventures with him very frequently. Since Asher was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot at birth, a heart issue, they had lots of trips to Salt Lake City. Amber was a wonderful mother who always made these trips as fun as possible for Asher, so he never minded heading out the door for the long drive!
Amber enjoyed her job and life at The Trailhead Restaurant. She never had any plans to leave because she was content with her work and loved all of her friends there. Many of her friends at Trailhead became adopted family to Amber, her son and to her mom.
Being the fun aunt always came easy for Amber. She loved all her nieces and nephews. Family was always important to Amber and she wanted her son to grow up knowing all his cousins. She did a wonderful job accommodating this with so many calling her a natural Aunty. This also meant Asher spent lots of time around their chosen family filling their hearts with memories and the sound of his contagious laughter. Many parties were hosted for the whole family to spend time together and those memories live on as some of his cousin’s most cherished times.
Amber is survived by her brothers, Daniel (Jessica) Fritz and Andrew (Andrea) Fritz; her honorary big sister, Lea Hutt; her nieces and nephews, Titus, Emma, Darian, Derek, Gabriel and Mia; her uncles, Jim (Doreen) McKenney and Todd McKenney; several loved cousins, Roy, Logan, AJ, Brittany, Julie, Sam and Tanner as well as her honorary family at the Trailhead Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her son, Asher Fritz; her parents, Dan and Khristy Fritz; her nephew,Triton Fritz and her grandparents on both sides.
In America, only about 27% of homes have a Carbon Monoxide Detector and even less then that are up to date or tested monthly. Remembering to test your Carbon Monoxide Detectors each month could mean the difference between life and death. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous, colorless and odorless gas which is impossible to detect without an alarm. The U.S. Fire Administration estimates more than 200 people die every year from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning. These types of incidents happen when things like appliances, equipment and vehicles are faulty, improperly used or not properly vented. As with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors should be installed on each level of the home and outside EVERY sleeping area. The batteries should also be tested monthly. If you have any gas appliances at all, check your home to be sure you have the correct number of Carbon Monoxide Detectors and that they are tested regularly.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church (3611 Riverview Road, Riverton, Wy) on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Fremont Center, Fremont County Fairgrounds.
