Funeral services for Sarah Adams, 39, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 430 Elizabeth Dr., Riverton, Wyoming. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home.
Sarah passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Sarah Rose Adams was born on January 22, 1985, daughter of Scott E. and Kay (Hixson) Adams in Lander, Wyoming. While growing up in Riverton, Sarah, attended grade school and junior high in Riverton before transferring to Wind River High School, graduating in 2003. Sarah continued her education at Central Wyoming College as well as on-line colleges, earning her Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Sarah worked at Verizon -Russell Cellular where she enjoyed helping people with their phones; she worked her way to District Manager. She had also worked for Morning Star Manor where she dedicated herself caring for elders. Most recently, Sarah worked for Kifaru where her work family made each day enjoyable and a fun place to be.
Sarah was very people-oriented, caring and a loving person. Her son, Timber said his favorite trait of mom was how much she cared for people. She also could outcook most anyone and enjoyed sewing. Her father and brother remembered their most unforgettable and most enjoyable first trip hunting elk with Sarah. Sarah and Trent were nonstop harassing one another while hunting in heavy grizzly bear country.
Sarah was a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and proudly received her temple ordinances.
Survivors include her son, Timber Adams; parents, Scott and Kay Adams all of Riverton; brother, Trenton and wife, Lindsay Adams and their children Morgin and Halie of Riverton, WY; aunts and uncles, Wanda Adams and her husband, Brian Stouffer, Lisa and husband Ron Given; Ken and wife Victoria Hixson, and Harvilan Hixson; cousins, Kayla and husband, Travis Brown, Kayse and husband, Mike Sparks, Benjamin and wife, Megan Snyder; Lenora Hixson, Dusty Lobdell, Dale Lobdell, Levi Bade, Michael Bade, Tessa Reynolds, Dawn Hixson and Cody (Glenn) Woodward; numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peggy Hixson, Leonard Hixson, Gaylord Bland, Mary Ellen Bateman and Alexander Adams and Sandra Kay; step-grandpa, Victor Bloomquist; and uncle, Leonard Hixson.
