Viola M. Anderson

Viola M. Anderson, 79, of Riverton, Wyoming went to live with Jesus on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.  A public viewing and visitation of family and friends will be held 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

 

May Viola rest in peace, and her loved ones find peace in their memories of her.

 

Viola was born January 2, 1945 in Laramie, Wyoming.  She met her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Eugene Anderson in 1968 where the couple were married in Lander, Wyoming.

 

Viola worked many different jobs in her lifetime.  Her main job was at Wind River Rehabilitation and Wellness where she was a CNA and housekeeper for over 30 years.

 

After her husband passed away, she lived with Andrew Charlebois until her passing to be with the Lord.  Viola was of the Baptist faith.  She also enjoyed her involvement with the Riverton Eagles Club for five years where she held the office of Inner Guard.

 

Viola's memory will live on through her children, extended family, friends, and the many lives she touched, especially through her long 30-year career in healthcare as a CNA and housekeeper at the Wind River Rehabilitation and Wellness

 

Her family and friends can find comfort in their shared memories of her joyful hobbies, such as her love for dice games, soap operas, westerns, casinos, and wrestling. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

 

Viola is survived by her five children; sons, Ricky Lee (Patti), Lawrence William (Christie), Timothy Ray, Brian Matthew; daughter, Susan Anderson (Kevin); sister-in-law, Kathleen Koenig (Bill); sister, Sandy Auldridge, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and her best friend and cousin, Ellen Ray Mauk.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Eugene; parents, Dean Henderson and Mamie “Lucille” (Mauk) Kelsey; son, Michael John; sister, Judy Kelsey; sister-in-law, Barbara A. Anderson; two brothers-in-law, Gordon H., and Ronald W. Anderson; stepfather, Frank Kelsey; granddaughter, Kayla Rose Anderson; and nephew, Billy Auldridge.
