Michael Morrin, 71, of rural Riverton, Wyoming passed away at Help for Health Hospice Home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.  His wife, Tracy, of 51 years was by his side as he passed, as was his beloved dog, Haywire.

Michael Dennis Morrin was born on August 1, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Enos Edward and Elinor (Toth) Morrin. He graduated high school and joined the U.S. Army in 1971.  He was honorably discharged.

On June 9, 1973 in Fort Lee Virginia, he married the love of his life, Tracy Barnhardt, and her dog, Barney.  Together they had one son, Jesse.

After getting married, the couple moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where Michael worked for the U.S. Postal Service. While there he attended the local community college to become a surveyor.

While working as a surveyor, Michael moved to Wyoming and remained here for the next forty-one years, this was home. He returned to the U.S. Postal Service and retired after thirty years of service.

Michael volunteered at the Riverton Senior Center preparing tax returns for many years.  He also delivered meals to the home bound. He jokingly said that he was sure he donated many gallons of blood through out the years.

Michael loved working in his yard, feeding the birds, loved all the dogs that Tracy brought home, fishing, camp fires, listening to music, and reading. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Morrin; son, Jesse and his wife, Conny; grandchildren, Briauna, Samantha, Dylan, Elaina, and Sophia; and his dear sister, Donna Stark and her family of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enos and Elinor Morrin.

The family would like to say thank you to all that they were blessed to have while Michael was going through his illness. The love, thoughtfulness, and hard work, making the burden less. The phone calls and cards warmed the family’s heart and they are forever grateful.

He will be sadly missed. They request is “just be kind.”
