Tammy Sue Lynn

Jun 17, 1962 - Dec 4, 2024

Tammy Sue Lynn, age 62, best friend, amazing wife, mother, and “Gigi” passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Tammy was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) September 19, 2024. Despite her immense bravery and the heroic efforts of her doctors, nurses, and staff at UCHealth, Aurora, CO, her treatment was unsuccessful.

Tammy will be cremated at Davis Funeral Home and a private ceremony will be held. The family is organizing a Celebration of Life at a later date, time and place to be determined. The family will update those who wish to attend and anyone with fond memories and stories will be encouraged to attend and share.

Tammy was born in Santa Cruz, CA on June 17, 1962 to Ed and Phyllis Krause (Bacon) and moved to Cascade, Idaho when she was 12 years old. She enjoyed soccer and was involved in the beginnings of the first women’s soccer league in the Boise area.

Tammy met Steve Lynn in Boise and they were married September 8, 1990. They had four children, Krystal, Henry, Ike, and Joel.

Steve’s work took his family to many new locations, including moves to Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and Wyoming. Tammy looked at the moves as just another grand adventure, her favorite saying was “Bloom where you’re planted!”

As a result of these many adventures, Steve and Tammy met many forever friends, some they claimed as their own “kids.” Those relationships have stayed strong and connected throughout the years, some calling her “Mom” and their children called her “Gigi.”

Tammy enjoyed several hobbies including crafting and sewing. She made Christmas stockings for someone every year! Tammy loved to bake, she had a passion for eating clean and healthy, had interests in and pursued health and wellness, psychology, counseling, gardening, riding horses, training her dogs and was an avid reader.

She attended Boise State University for a couple of years just before starting her family but didn’t finish her degree. When she settled in Wyoming, she began substitute teaching at Riverton, WY and Wind River in Pavillion, WY. She cherished the kids and her co-workers at both schools.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Steve; daughter, Krystal Johnson (Jay); grandson’s Cameron, Devon, Ean, and Quinn; son, Henry (Cassey); granddaughter, Charli; grandson, Thatcher; son, Ike (Ruby); granddaughter, Allison; grandson, Wyatt; son, Joel (Tiffany); granddaughters, Amelia and Oakleigh; mother, Phyllis Bacon; brother, Michael (Sheree) Krause and children; brother, Peter (Jennifer) Krause and children; sister, Heidi Hillyard and children; and brother, Craig Bacon.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ed Krause

Tammy will be remembered as a faithful, graceful, and compassionate follower of Jesus Christ; with a heart for lifting others up with encouragement and love.

The family wishes to thank this wonderful community as a whole and especially our Cornerstone Community Church and Crowheart Community Church families for their tremendous love and support.
