Funeral services for Wallace “Sonny” Bad Hawk, Jr., 54, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2024 at Blue Sky Hall.  Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Mission Cemetery.  A Wake will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024 at #1 Thunder Lane, Ethete, Wyoming.

 

Mr. Bad Hawk passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 in Pocatello, Idaho.

 

Sonny was born on April 16, 1970, son of Wallace Bad Hawk, Sr. and Mary White in Lander, Wyoming. 

An avid outdoorsman, Sonny enjoyed fishing, traveling, and hitchhiking. He also had a passion for arts and crafts, dancing—particularly fancy dancing and breakdancing—playing pool, and casino gambling. Sonny was an enthusiastic supporter of the Green Bay Packers, and cherished spending time with his family.

Throughout his life, Sonny worked in various fields, including landscaping, potato farming, warehouse labor, concrete work, tree trimming, event coordination, and security.

He traveled extensively, from the Wind River Indian Reservation to Idaho, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Oregon.

Survivors include his sons, Jesus Manzanares, Sr., Josiah Arthur and Sammuel Pine; sister, Shannon Hoover; grandchildren, Elijah, Elyana, Jesus Manzanares, Jr., Lionel, Virgil, Winter, Lashayla Wallowingbull, Kayleen and Kyra Bosquez, Mark Tendoy, Jr., Brooklyn, Davina, Serenity, Zayne and Elijah Doss; nephews and nieces, Adrian Wallowingbull, Dexter Wallowingbull, Aaron Wallowingbull, Mamie (Jacob) Bosquez, Jessica Martinez, Angela Martinez, Shantel Martinez, Chelsea Badhawk, Kass Chacon, Jr., Alphonso Chacon, Darik Penrod, Brandon Hoover; close family members, Grandma “Luv” Lavern White, Shay Quagigant, Crystal Hongphakdy, Romelia Martinez “Pigeon”, Heather Martinez, Ronald White, Andrea Oldman, Melvena/Alvena Oldman, Chester White, Calvin White, aunt Ione Martinez, Katie Martinez and Andrea Hernandez.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace S. Badhawk, Sr. and Mary Jean White; grandparents, Thomas White, Sr., Martha Yellowbear, Katie Looking and Jacob Badhawk; brothers, Thomas Badhawk and Samuel Badhawk; sisters, Sharon Badhawk, Sherry Badhawk, Sheryl Badhawk and Leila Chavis; aunts and uncles, Patricia White, Carla White, Joan and Jane White, Roland Yellowbear, Thomas White, Jr., Kenneth White, Dell Badhawk, Sr., Jacob Badhawk, Sr., Gene Badhawk, Sr., Joseph Guzman, Manvel Guzman, Permilia Vigil, Mary Badhawk, Marlene Badhawk and Opie Sutherin.
