Norban Ray Biffle, born on July 19,1936, in Trinidad, Colorado, to N.T. and Hattie Biffle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was 88 years old. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton, Wyoming. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.

Norban grew up on his family’s ranch in Grenville, New Mexico, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. After serving honorably in the U.S. Army, he received his teaching degree. He relocated to Riverton, Wyoming where he pursued a career as a math teacher, sharing his knowledge and passion with countless students over the years.

Norban was married twice during his life. His first wife, Marge Biffle, sadly passed away during childbirth. On April 9,1971, he married Donna Biffle, with whom he shared nearly five decades of love and partnership until her passing on January 31, 2021. Together they raised three children: Kristin Wilson (Brad Wilson), Tom Biffle, and Lana Meeks (Dave Meeks). Norban was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren—Alyssa Biffle, Kamri Biffle, Bailey Wilson, Taci Wilson, Jenna Meeks, and Ryan Meeks—and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren.

An avid outdoorsman, Norban found joy in hunting, camping, fishing, and ranching. These activities not only brought him happiness but also strengthened his bonds with family and friends. His love for nature and dedication to family were defining aspects of his life.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, N.T. and Hattie Biffle; first wife, Marge Biffle; and wife, Donna Biffle.
