Celebration of Life

Reach Club House

Donald Lee Johnson passed away on November 26, 2024 in Casper, Wyoming.  Cremation has taken place. An informal celebration of his life will be held at The Reach Foundation on January 11, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

He was born to Marlene (Van Dusen) Johnson and Dean Johnson in Alliance NE on July 26, 1959.  Don had a wonderful childhood and grew up in Riverton, WY with big brother Larry and twin sisters, Kay (Watson) and Karen (Wardner).

Don graduated from Riverton High School in 1977 and attended CWC. Don lived in Riverton, Casper, Gillette, and Lander during his adult life and worked in various industries including sales, banking, and in retirement one of his favorites: DoorDash delivery.

Don married Cathy Schenk in 1978 and Angela was born of that union.  They later divorced.  Don married Dee Lynn Dailey in 1985.  Crystal, Andy, and Carl came from that union.

Don will be remembered for his sense of humor and his intelligence, his friendliness, his recall of “all kinds of useless” trivia, and the legacy he and Dee left in their children and grandchildren. He loved all children!

Don leaves behind four children: Angela Wood, Crystal (Sergio) Cabada, Andy Johnson and Carl (Carissa) Johnson; grandchildren Jordan Cabada, Katie Lee (Daimean) Guzman, Megan, Tatum Cabada, Paige Wood, Dylan Johnson, Owen Johnson, and Silas Dailey; and great grandchildren Sterling Dee-Lynn Alley, Brynlee Chrissy-Lynn Elidia and Grayson Evanio Guzman; brother Larry Johnson; and sisters Kay (Brett) Watson and Karen (Paul) Wardner.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Marlene Johnson, wife Dee Lynn (Dailey); daughter Sarah; granddaughter Chrissy Lynn (Cabada) Alley; mother-in-law Patsy Dailey; son in law Justin Wood; and brother-in-law, Brett Watson.

Online condolences are available on the Davis Funeral Home link. We would love for you to share your memories with us either at the celebration of life or on the website.
