Linda Mae St  John
April 21, 1951 – January 18, 2025

Linda Mae St  John, 73, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, in her hometown surrounded by her loved ones.

Linda was born on April 21, 1951, in Riverton, Wyoming, to Robert Wempen and Margaret J. (Fuller) Wempen. She spent her entire life in Riverton, where she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Earl St  John, Jr., on December 24, 1967. Together, they built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories.

Throughout her life, Linda had a diverse work history. She worked as a babysitter, at the Dash In Drive-In, at a clothing store, and at Sears. She and her husband proudly owned and operated Dubois Glass and R&L Glass and later started B&L Enterprise. Linda also worked as a school bus driver for School District #25. Her dedication and strong work ethic were evident in every role she took on.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda was known for her warm heart and knack for turning “junk into treasures.” She treasured time at the mountain cabin she and her husband built, yard work, and gathering with her family for "Wempen Wednesdays." She especially loved old cars and car shows and shared a passion for working alongside Bob on countless projects.

Linda had a deep Christian faith, finding solace and strength in God’s presence, often witnessed in the beauty of sunrises and sunsets.

She was active in her community as Treasurer of the Riverton Stock Car Club and Porcupine Subdivision Treasurer.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Robert (Bob) E. St  John, Jr.; her children, Chad J. St John, Sheila K. (Ken) Casey, and Cheryl R. Pigg (Shawn Bullington); her brothers, Freeman (Nancy) Wempen, Leonard (Janet) Wempen, and Les (Nancy) Wempen; sister-in-law, Norma St John Good; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Wempen, and her niece, Michelle Duty (Wempen).

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on April 19, 2025. The location will be announced at a later date.
