Miles Jackson Manley, a lifelong resident of Fremont County, Wyoming, passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on July 20, 1950, in Lander, Wyoming, to Jack M. Manley and Jessie (Cox) Manley, Miles embraced a life rooted in the rugged beauty of Wyoming.
A graduate of Pavillion High School in 1969, Miles married Wilhelmina Doles on June 23, 1973, in Pavillion, Wyoming. Together, they raised four children: Jack, Ronald, Jessie, and Catherine.
Miles worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, from carpentry to truck driving, the latter of which he was doing at the time of his passing. A man of the Christian faith, he found joy and fulfillment in the great outdoors. Miles was a lifelong hunter and fisherman, a skilled ammo reloader, and an enthusiastic gold prospector. He also loved camping in the mountains and cheering on Wyoming Cowboys football and basketball.
Miles is survived by his wife, Wilhelmina Manley; his son, Ronald Eugene Manley, and wife, Chrissy; his daughters, Jessie Marie Drake and husband, Michael, and Catherine Rose Martinez and husband, Donald; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jessie Manley, and his son, Jack M. Manley.
