Graveside services for Harold Wayne Lawson, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2025 at Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Lawson passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Wind River Rehab and Wellness in Riverton, Wyoming.
Wayne Lawson, born on April 6, 1940, in Douglas, Wyoming, was the beloved son of Jim and Inez Lawson.
On January 6, 1967, Wayne married the love of his life, Deanetta Newkirk, in Montana. Together, they built a beautiful life, living in Moorcroft, Wyoming, Idaho, and Riverton, Wyoming. Wayne was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his career with True Drilling and True Oil Company.
Wayne had a zest for life and cherished his hobbies. He found joy in flying, fishing, and exploring new destinations.
Survivors include his wife, Deanetta Lawson of Riverton, WY; son, Lynnard (Mija) Lawson of Cody, WY; brother, Max (Pat) Lawson of Riverton, WY; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; daughters-in law, Irina Lawson and Janna Lawson; mother-in-law, Ruth Newkirk of Riverton, WY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Inez Lawson; sons, Todd Lawson, Michael Lawson and Donald James Lawson; grandson, James William Lawson.
