Maralee Sue (Detimore) Nelson, born on December 24, 1964, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Wyoming, United States. Her life was marked by profound love, resilience, and dedication to her family and those she held dear.

 

Maralee was the devoted mother of Ashlie Amber Ellis and Rue (Mackenzie) Reller. She also shared an extraordinary bond with her son, Mavrick Reller, whom she lovingly cared for throughout his life as he faced Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Maralee’s unwavering commitment to Mavrick’s well-being defined much of her life, and his passing at the age of 30 left an indelible mark on her heart.

 

Following Mavrick’s death, Maralee sought to rebuild her life in Riverton, Wyoming. She worked within the community, cultivated friendships, and found companionship with Robert “Bob” Smith. Together, Maralee and Bob shared a love for travel and built a family of beloved dogs that brought joy to their lives. Bob’s steadfast support and love were a source of comfort to Maralee until her final days.

 

Maralee was a proud grandmother to ( Ashlie Amber Ellis children) Justin Detimore, Naimah Ellis, Mujihad Ellis, Aeizah Ellis, Kayden Ellis, and ( Mackenzie Reller child)  Izabella Hayden. Her grandchildren were a cherished part of her life and a testament to her enduring legacy.

 

Though Maralee faced health challenges later in life, she remained a beacon of strength and compassion to those around her. Her passing is a poignant reminder of the depth of her love and the impact she had on so many lives.
