Barbara Jean Diale

Funeral services for Barbara Jean Diale, 77, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Davis Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest with her family at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Smith will officiate.
Barbara passed away peacefully at her home in Riverton on Monday, February 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 2, 1947, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, to Walter Wilk and Ila Mae Shoopman. She was raised by her stepfather, Donald Dean Davis, Sr., and her mother, Ila Mae Davis. Barbara married Fred Charles Diale on July 24, 2010.
A devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Riverton, she found great joy in her faith and spent time as a Sunday School teacher.
Barbara’s caring nature was evident in everything she did. She loved helping others, spending time with her grandchildren, creating crafts and memory books, and participating in church activities. She was an active member of both the Cancer Support Group and Compassionate Friends, where she offered comfort and support to others.
Throughout her life, Barbara lived in various Wyoming communities. She graduated from high school in 1965 and later attended Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs.
She is survived by her loving husband, Fred C. Diale; her children, Marshall Dean (Michelle) Crow of Riverton and James Allen (Marsha) Crow, of Thermopolis, and Helen Lee (Larry) Fresorger of Riverton; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her step-sons, Zachary Scott Stanton of Davenport, Iowa, and Sean Stanton of Riverton; her sisters, Patricia Davis of Colorado and Deloris Skewes of Duchesne, Utah; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather, grandparents, and husbands, Tex Crow and Phillip Stanton, Sr.; she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Francis Jean Wagoner; sisters, Linda Diane Davis and Toni Davis; brother, Donald Davis, Jr.; step son, Phillip Martin Stanton, Jr.; two grandsons, Timmy and Brandon.
