Memorial services for a former administrator of Fremont Manor Nursing Home, Howard V. Conley of Riverton will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. The Rev. Cleve McSwain of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Conley died Thursday night, June 28, 2007, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He was 78 years old. Howard V. Conley was born in Fargo, N.D., on July 20, 1928, the son of Howard and Rena (McDougall) Conley. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. On May 5, 1966, he married Margaret Ibach in Aberdeen, S.D. Mr. Conley was a hospital and nursing home administrator, having worked in Fargo, N.D., Detroit Lakes, Minn., Clayton, N.M., and Raton, N.M., before coming to Riverton 26 years ago. He was of the Methodist faith and a past member of the B.P.O.Elks Lodge. Mr. Conley's family said he enjoyed flying, hunting, horses, and sailing. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Conley of Riverton; a daughter, Nicole Groathouse and husband Brock of Riverton; grandchildren, Drew, age 16, and Cort, age 10; two brothers in Detroit Lakes, Minn.; a sister in Detroit Lakes. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Memorials in his name may be made to a veterans organization or a charity of the donor's choice, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton WY 82501. Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
