Sherry Lee West, a beloved member of our community, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Her life was a testament to her deep faith, love for family, dedication to her country, and passion for animals and nature.
Sherry's unwavering faith in God guided her throughout her life. She cherished her family above all, nurturing them with love and wisdom. Her patriotic spirit was evident in her community involvement and respect for her country.
Her compassion extended to all creatures, from horses, dogs, and cats to the people and animals she so dearly loved. An avid adventurer, Sherry found joy in water skiing, hiking, and boating, always embracing the great outdoors. Her green thumb was reflected in her love for plants, cultivating beauty wherever she went.
Sherry was best known for her selfless and giving nature. She always put others before herself, ensuring that those around her felt loved, supported, and cared for. Whether it was a friend in need, an animal in distress, or a struggling member of her community, she never hesitated to step in and help. She gave freely of her time, energy, and love, making a difference in countless lives. Many called her "MOM," not just as a term of endearment, but because she truly embodied the nurturing, guiding presence of a mother to so many.
Professionally, Sherry was renowned for her world-class baking skills, bringing sweetness into the lives of many. But more than that, her home was always open to anyone in need of a warm meal, a safe place to stay, or comforting words. She had an incredible ability to make people feel welcome and valued, providing shelter and love to those who needed it most. Her commitment to the community was evident through her various roles, always aiming to uplift and support those around her. She lived by the principle that true joy comes from giving, and she exemplified that belief every day of her life.
Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved son, David, as well as her parents and brother. Though their reunion in Heaven brings solace, her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of Sherry's life will be held on Friday, March 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton, Wyoming with interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather, honor her memory, and share the stories that made her so special.
