Marjorie Pauline Shotgunn Pizzaro (Red Woman “Seibe’eih”), 88, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice in Thermopolis, Wyoming. She was born on Saturday, July 17, 1937, in Ethete, Wyoming, to the late Robert and Winnie Shotgunn. Marjorie spent most of her life at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, Wyoming.

Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Ethete, though she also spent time living in California with her children: Robert Shotgunn, Bobby Shotgunn, the late Bernadette Shotgunn, Regis Shotgunn, Regina Pizzaro, Shawn Pizzaro, and Patrick Pizzaro.

She is survived by her caretaker, Theresa M. Wells, and numerous grandchildren residing in Colorado, Wyoming, and Washington. Marjorie’s relations include the Shotgunn, Willow, Friday, Spoonhunter, Returns To War, Hutchinson, Groesbeck, Shavehead, and Antelope families.

She cherished sharing stories of her youth in Ethete and enjoyed attending the Senior Center and powwows. Marjorie was also known for crafting beautiful wax flowers and is featured in “Arapaho Journeys" by Sara Wiles.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Blue Sky Hall, with interment to follow at Yellowcalf Cemetery. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Blue Sky Hall, followed by a wake at the home of David Yazzie, Sr., 631 Blue Sky Hwy, Ethete, Wyoming.
