Forrest L. Kuhn, Sr. of Riverton died at his home early Wednesday morning, Nov. 10, 2010, at the age of 84.
Memorial services are at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18th, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. Pastor Richard Morgan, Jr., and Mr. Kuhn's family will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Friday-Truan Detachment #683 Marine Corp League and Veterans.
Forrest Lee Kuhn was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on Jan. 13, 1926, the son of Harvey Jacob Kuhn and Mary Maria (McGlothin) Kuhn.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On Oct. 27, 1945, he married Lillian Mae Cassidy in Greenup, Kentucky.
Mr. Kuhn was a retired carpenter in home and industrial construction. He belonged to Carpenter's Local 547 in San Diego, Calif.
He was of the Baptist faith and belonged to the Calvary Baptist Church in Riverton.
His family said Mr. Kuhn enjoyed fishing, rock hunting, game hunting, woodworking and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Mae Kuhn of Riverton; sons, Michael G. Kuhn of Kerrville, Texas, Darrell A. Kuhn of Topock, Ariz., Forrest L, Kuhn, Jr., of Sun City West, Ariz., and Kenneth W. Kuhn of Pavillion; daughters, Sandra L. Rogol of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Ann Snyder of Gilbert, Ariz.
Fourteen grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Norma Gray of Portsmouth, Ohio.
Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
