Christopher Anthony Wright
January 1, 1963 – March 26, 2025
Christopher Anthony Wright passed away on March 26, 2025, at SageWest- Hospital in Riverton, Wyoming, at the age of 62. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Chris was born on January 1, 1963, in Orange, California, to Harold Lee and Dorothy Louise (Bryant) Rush. At the age of 11 years old, John and Alfrieda (Crawford) Wright adopted Chris and his younger brother Randy. He grew up in Renton, Washington, and graduated from Lindbergh High School. He went on to earn his Associate's Degree from Colorado Aeronautics School to be an Aircraft Mechanic.
A proud veteran, Chris joined the United States Army where he served honorably as a Supply Specialist. His career path was as diverse as the places he called home—having lived in every U.S. state except Alaska, Hawaii, and New Jersey. Over the years, Chris worked as an aircraft mechanic for over 25 years, DJ for several radio stations, and loved being a gunsmith, bringing dedication and creativity to every role.
Chris was a proud member of the Worland American Legion and found great fulfillment in serving and connecting with fellow veterans.
On January 3, 2024, after eight years together, he married the love of his life, Susan Kasper, in Riverton, Wyoming. Their bond was a true testament to lasting love and companionship.
Family was everything to Chris. He cherished time spent with his loved ones and was happiest when surrounded by them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Kasper-Wright; his children, Jamie Getzfreid (Charlie), Joshua Lee (Sammii Ann), and Jodi Fletcher (Kyle); 12 grandchildren, Alexis Wilson (Matthew), MaKenzie, Hunter, Raven, River, Ashlynn, Daemyen, Nash, Titus, Capri, Robert, and Memphis; and two great-grandchildren, Raleigh and Gunnar. He is also survived by his siblings, Randy Wright, Derek Rush, Laurie Rush Angell, Sandy Wright, and Becky Wright.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lee and Dorothy Louise (Bryant) Rush, John and Alfrieda Wright and brother Robert Wright.
