E.L. "Linn" Rorabaugh, a long-time Riverton area resident, died at his home on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011. He was 83.
At his request, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
Elden Linn Rorabaugh was born in Greeley, Colo., on June 10, 1927, the son of LeRoy and Mina Evlyn (Andrew)Rorabaugh.
Linn served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1946.
He married Rona Mae Robison on May 8, 1946 in Mobile, Al.
Mr. Rorabaugh retired from the Cheyenne Fire Department as an assistant fire chief and moved to Riverton in 1972. He retired from the Midvale Volunteer Fire Department as a battalion chief.
Mr. Rorabaugh was preceded in death by his wife, Rona; youngest son, David; brother, Troy, and brother, Paul.
He is survived by two sons, Ernest Rorabaugh and his wife Lonna of Casper, and John Rorabaugh and wife Charlene of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Patricia Rorabaugh of Pavillion; brother, L.G. Rorabaugh and wife Helen of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Tracey Hupper and husband Randall, John Rorabaugh, Heather Rorabaugh, Chris Pitt and husband Jason, and Richard Loghry and wife Laurie; great grandchildren, Steven, Jennifer, Lilly, Caleb, Gage, Samantha, and Rachael.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Home, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
