Helen W. Higgs died on Friday morning, June 10, 2011, at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander. She was 88.
Cremation has taken place and no local services will be held. Private family inurnment will be in Columbia Falls, Mont., at a later date.
Helen Wyome Stallman was born in Keeline, Wyo., on Jan. 21, 1923, the daughter of Joe and Eva (Thrasher) Stallman. She attended school in Lusk.
She married Joe Osback in Harrison, Neb., and raised her family in Morrill, Neb. She later moved to Riverton.
Mrs. Higgs was a seamstress.
Survivors include her son, Charles A. Osback and his wife Dianne of Torrington; daughter-in-law, Sharon Osback of Riverton; grandchildren, Brady Osback of Longmont, Colo., Casey Osback and wife Tonya of Rapid City, S.D., Travis Osback and wife Jolene of Riverton, and Jason Osback of Greeley, Colo; three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Osback; brother, Bud Stallman; and sister, Erma Riley.
