Coats, Wendell R.
Such an interesting, brilliant, adventurous man that welcomed me to the family with the biggest open arms and loving smile.... I will miss his laugh for sure. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time, he will be missed.

Quite a shock to read about your dad's passing. Hopefully a comfort to you that he was able to be at your home and be at peace. My prayers are with you all. God Bless.
To the Family,
My heart and Prayers are with you at this time. If I do not make it it is not because I did not want to be there. I will miss Wendell & have already thanked him in my prayers for being a good Grandfather to my Children.May he rest in peace. God Bless You All.
Love,
Sandy
Wendell's love of learning and great personality made him a gift to the world. I'm happy he was my "little brother" in Hanna all those years ago.
My thoughts and prayers will be with the family on Saturday and in the days to come, especially Thelma and family.

Ward, So sorry to hear of your father's passing. I am remembering a great Labor Day weekend many years ago at Glendo with your family. Comforting thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

We will surely miss Wendell here on the mountain in Colorado! He was the first to come and extend a welcome to us when we moved here in 2007. The world would be a better place if more people had his compassion, warmth and thirst for knowledge. He led an interesting life and was not afraid to think "outside the box". We would do well to follow his example. We, the Freitas's, extend our condolences to the Coats family and friends who had the privilege to know him even better than we did.
