Gegere, Melvyn Fidelis

My deepest sympathy for the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Melvyn and his family for only a short period of time but will never forget his warmth, kindness, smile, and amazing sense of humor. Rest in peace dear friend. I will always have a place for you in my heart as well.

Rick and I only had the privilege of knowing Melvyn a year or so, but in that time we both became quite attached to him because of his wit, his intelligence, and how he treated us. He was very patriotic, had served our country long and well, and was most proud to be a Navy man. He delighted us with his stories. And he loved his kids; he talked openly and lovingly about how much they helped him the last couple years of his life. We pray that Chris and Marya especially know that he appreciated all that they did for him. May he rest in peace and be reunited with the love of his life.
