Mace, Shirley
My heart goes out to your family during your time of loss. Shirley was a truly wonderful individual who had the gumption to stand up for what she believed in, and the generous and loving spirit to help others in everything she did. I got to know Shirley when we worked together for CES years ago and couldn't have been blessed with a better individual to work with. That darling woman introduced me to so many different things and was so very thoughtful and wonderful in getting to know other people and their families. She always kept up to date on our children, and bragged about all of her family. Dorsey, Amy, and Lisa, You were her entire world and I know she had so much pride in each and everyone of you and your accomplishments. I won't be in town for the services, but didn't want to miss the opportunity to tell you how blessed I was to know her. She's waiting in heaven for the rest of you, but will be watching down and protecting you all until you too are called home.
God Bless you all!
So sorry for your loss. Shirley was always a beaming light to all that was fortunate enough to know her. She certainly was in the center of the hearts of Bliss & Maysel.
May God continue to bless you and yours.

Dorsey, Lisa and Amy,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Shirley was such a dear person. I know she will be greatly missed by you, her family, and all her life-long friends in the Class of 1956 at Spencer High School. As a former English teacher, Dorsey, perhaps, you and your daughters can be comforted by the words of the English poet John Donne's Meditation 17: "...all mankind is one author and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language...God's hand is in every translation..." Shirley's translation cannot help but be a beautiful one.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Shirley was a great friend which we will miss and think of often. Eventhough, there was many miles between us we were always very close.
She always enjoyed her classmates, friends and especially her family which she was so proud of.
Again, Love and Prayers to you.

Dorsey,Lisa and Amy, Shirley was truely a lovely person and devoted to her family. Two of her goals in life were to see her girls happy and teach Dorsey how to do the "indoor chores" correctly.
Over the years Shirley and I didn't always get to see each other or talk on the phone as often as we would have liked. But when we did it was like a day had never gone by since we had last talked. That was was just the type of friend she was. We could talk about anything from what I kids were doing to our guys going hunting.
Shirley worked so hard all her life as she wanted the best for her family. She never knew how to apply for an easy job! Sometimes I would ask Shirley why she didn't retire and enjoy life. She would always say - soon - but if I work this much longer I will have more for my retirement.
Shirley is now retired with the Lord in Heaven and someday we will be with her again enjoying that beautiful smiling face.
Shirley was loved by many and will be truely missed. God Be With You
Sorry for your loss. Your family is remembered in our thoughts and prayers.....
