McCrackin, Charles A."Alec"
I hold you all in my heart. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Vicki Black - 8/6/2012Dear Bobbie, Miriam and Jordan,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have happy memories of living across the street, sharing thoughts about dogs, trees, politics. I always appreciated Alec's sage advice. Over time, you will find comfort in your memories and he will live on in your hearts. You are in my heart and on my mind.
Love,
Jennifer
Bobbie, This such a shock! Our deepest sympathy for you and your family. Alex was an interesting and warm man. I'll miss seeing him in the neighborhood and talking with him at the Wildflower Garden Club holiday parties.
You are in our thoughts.
Debbie Schneider - 8/6/2012
Bobbie, my heart is broken by Alec's leaving us. The two of you are so precious to me and have given me so many happy memories. Alec was so intelligent and clever. I loved his quick wit - that's what I'll miss the most - all those emails I saved that still make me laugh out loud. There's no one like him. My love and prayers go to you and Jordan and Miriam. Love, Kathy Spetz
Kathy Spetz - 8/6/2012Dear Bobbie, Jordan and Miriam: Our hearts reach out to you across the miles. There are truly no words to express our sorrow at the sad and sudden news of Alec's passing. We knew him as a funny and gentle neighbor, a fellow dog lover, and an ardent Obama supporter...and that only begins to describe all that he was to friends and family. May the many wonderful memories of a loving husband and father sustain you through this time of loss, and may the mountains of Alec's beloved Wyoming give you strength.

Thomas Moon - 8/7/2012We are so very sorry to hear of your devastating loss. Alec was such a wonderful, funny and incredibly witty person with whom I had the pleasure of playing rugby while also handling some of the administrative matters for the team under Alec's superb leadership. Connie and I often look back on those times as being some of our fondest - especially because of the contributions of friendship by Alec and Bobbie.
I am so heartbroken that this good man has left us so early.

Dubois Search & Rescue would like his family to know that our hearts go out to them. We spent a short time with them and it was very obvious how deeply his is loved. Both his family and all of the rescuers that were involved used every resource we had to try to change the outcome.
I met him just a few times and he was always so nice.
Sincerely,
Dubois Search & Rescue

The McCrackin family moved next door to my family in Hapeville,Ga. in the early '50's.I enjoyed playing with the boys and Heidi the dog whose howling at night scared me.The whole family were very nice people but they put butter on sandwiches instead of mayo and we knew they were not from the South.Alec and I invented cookies and cream ice cream with Oreos and Vanilla ice cream at their new home in Atlanta after I had been invited over and driven by Mr. McCrackin.I was sad when they moved from next door as I mi9ssed the boys as playmates.
Sorry to hear of a nice guy's passing.
