Balber, John
I remember John and Dan as "crazy" friends of my older brother, Jon. Many times when I was at the Balber house to play with Myra, I would have a front row seat to the wit and humor of the Balber family. It was a riot! John went on to touch so many more lives; the world is a much better place because of him.
Peggy Dennis Carnahan - 10/24/2012Hi Ghent,
I am sorry to hear about John. Hearing of your loss weighs heavy on my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hoping you will find peace and happiness in the fond memories you have of him!
Ghent, so sorry to hear this news. Know that I am thinking of you.
Scott Morrow - 10/24/2012Ghent, you may not remember me, but I remember you and John. I worked with you both at Wyoming Indian Elementary School. It was my pleasure to know you both and learn John's sense of humor. As these days pass, know that you are in our prayers. May GOD bless you and keep you in this season of loss. Sincerely, Del Hessling
Del Hessling - 10/24/2012The world is less for not having John's wit and caring. His brother, Dan, was my best friend through 6th grade through high school in the small town of Momence, Illinois. John was part of a lot of rollicking crazy creative fun with the Balber family, whether it was doing a waltz in the back of band practice with his fellow tuba players while seated in a tuba chair, or tearing the house apart with Ghent when their parents were gone ( Dan never did figure that out). John had humorous observations about life and high school (especially some of the teachers) that made life a bit more enjoyable. My sympathies to Myra, Ghent, and the rest of the family.
Ghent, I am so sorry to hear this. I loved John's sense of humor and his caring attitude. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ghent,
A good man is gone but John will never be forgotten by those who knew him and marveled at his quick wit and caring personality. My condolences.
Scott
John was one of my favorite people. He and I worked together at WIES
in the Eagle's Nest. His humor, wit, kindness, and love of students made
him a very popular and compassionate administrator. I am glad our paths crossed. I am a better person for knowing John as well as all the people
his life touched. He will be missed greatly.
