Galgerud, Nancy W.
Penny and the rest of Nancy's family:
A shock to learn of Nancy's passing! If there ever was a human "energizer bunny", Nancy would be that person. Hard to believe her batteries failed. Such a kind and caring person; generous and compassionate. There was a woman who also believed in the power of chocolate as a cure for many things--including grief! A lot of folks will be missing Nancy and her ever-present smile. Rest assured she will be tending to those sons of hers in the great beyond... My sympathy to you all.

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a wonderful lady with an amazing spirit. I loved working with and getting to know her. She will be missed.
Barb Simmons - 1/30/2013Nancy was one of the greatest ladies in Fremont County. Always had a smile with a warm and heartfelt hug. Brayden and I are really going to miss her but will know that she is in Heaven looking down on us until we meet her again.
To Nancy's family and best friend Jerry....Nancy was a dear, sweet lady...always with a ready smile and lots of kind words...couldn't help from still smiling after visiting with her....wish I had known her longer and better...deepest sympathy to you all including Jerry (my Mom's (Alice) secret love when at the nursing home) With kindest regards, Margaret Monsen
When I learned of Nancy's passing it was a complete shock. I've known her since I was a little girl, while she was employed by WSTS. She was friends with my dad, who always spoke of her in the highest regard. As an adult and young mother, Nancy was always there to reassure me with a smile, a warm hug, and a peck on the cheek. When times were hard, she let me know it would all work out one way or another and that I needed to keep my chin up and keep smiling. I feel blessed to have known her and will always think of her infectious smile.
To her family, I am deeply sorry for your loss, and may God bless you and keep you in these hard times, just as she would have done.
With my deepest sympathy,
Holly Plank-Wilkerson
We are sorry for your loss. It is difficult losing a loved one. We worked with Nancy at the State Training School. Jim worked with her in the kitchen. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jim & Bev Velarde - 1/31/2013I had the privlage of working with Nancy for some years at the training school. We shared many laughs and some tears too. She would give me good advice and was always caring. She would give my kids popcycles when we would walk down by her house and she was outside. I will miss setting on the grass in her yard, just talking. I thought the world of her, and was totally shocked to hear of her passing! May God be with her and the family!
Kim Hutson - 2/1/2013I love you grandma I wish I would have been able to visit with you before you passed. Sorry I wasn't there.
danielle Gravenor - 2/1/2013Penny & Family,
May God Bless at this time and keep close all the memories...Thinking of you and your family
It's been very hard knowing that Nancy is now gone. But, peace comes, knowing that she is in a better place. Nancy was a wonderful, wonderful person. Always smiling and reassuring that all is good.
Our Creator may have taken an Angel from us, but her spirit will forever remain in all of our hearts.

What a true spirit-Just got to know her this summer but she felt like a long lost sister from the first greeting. How she loved her family and her Jerry. We are all so much richer from knowing her. My love and prayers to all the family and to Jerry. God speed.
sue givens - 2/3/2013Ron and I wish to express our heartfelt and true condolences to my sister's family. The power of cherished memories of days of laughter and joy, together, is the sustaining force Nancy leaves us with. I wish for my sister's journey home to be one of Peace and Joy, and I believe the circle of our ancestors welcome her with love and powerful joy. Rest in Peace, Big Sister.
