"May tender memories soften your grief,
May fond recollection bring you relief,
And may you find comfort and peace in the thought
Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought...
For time and space can never divide
Or keep your loved one from your side.
When memory paints in colors true,
the happy hours that belonged to you."

Dear Matt and Amy,
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. It always seems there will be more time, more words, more life -- and the loss of a father is very painful.
I have fond memories of your family, Matt, from your wedding. I hope that in the days and months to come you all can find a little comfort in all the good memories.
Love, hugs and prayers to you all.

The first time I met Marty was when I was a young coach and Matt was in football, then basketball in the middle school. He was always so supportive and loved to watch the kids play. Later, we would run into each other and visit like a day hadn't gone by. I really enjoyed our little talks at 4:00 a.m. in the pitstop, or in the afternoons elsewhere. Even though our meetings were too infrequent, I always enjoyed them. He had an awesome laugh, and a great love for Matt and Misty. I am so glad to have known him, and so sorry for his passing.

Candy, Misty and Matt and Family
Did not Marty that well other than are visits while Misty was playing sports or at track meets. Marty and the rest of you did know and love our Jennifer as she spent many happy moments with all of you. I know that you are a family full of faith and love as is ours. I did see Marty often on my early walks. Just a hello and how is your day was always great.
May you all find peace in your wonderful memories.
Misty a big hug from Bill and I.
Love Bill and Kathy Howard
So sorry to hear of Marty's passing. I pray that his memory will bring feelings of joy to his family and friends in the years to come. Candy, I am sorry for your loss.
Ken Wall - 3/23/2013Candy and Family...my deepest condolence's to you all. My earliest childhood remembrances always have Marty in the mix. Marty had a great heart...he was always more than kind to me as we would bump into each other over the years. Together he and I would probably have made more than one sunday school teacher at Storm Lake CofC want to retire. However, based on all of our late life conversations I think Marty had a very abiding kind of assumptive faith. I look forward to our continued conversations on the other side. Tom J

Hello, Candy.
So sad to hear about your Marty and your loss.
Marty had a great smile, memories from high school, of course and the times we
were all in it together. What a nice guy. I don't do FB, but did get to see picture of
Marty with granddaugter. A wonderful photo, proud grandpa. Take Care, Candy. Be Well
You're in our thoughts and prayers.
Jane
I am so sorry for your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers, as well as your memories give you comfort to help you endure the days ahead. The Bible also offers comfort. “For God is near to those broken at heart. “ Ps 34:17,18. Our Creator promises that there will soon be a time when “death will be no more.” Revelation 21:4.
J. Bell - 3/25/2013Candy,
