Mary Ellen Quam

Quam, Mary Ellen

My thoughts & prayers are with you all during this time. Please let me know if there is any thing I can do. I am so thankful for all the years we were able to have grandma around. She was such a wonderful grandma & we will certainly miss her love & support. I'm going to miss all of our phone calls & her cards. We love you all......

Our deepest condolences. Mary Ellen was my Aunt. My last interaction with Mary Ellen was when my mom was hospitalized in Rapid City. Mary Ellen came to visit while my dad and I were there. I remember how full of life she was and how very 'classy' I thought she was. We had a priest do the Sacrament of the Sick for mom and Mary Ellen joined us. It was a time of blessing for my mom and dad. I felt lucky that Mary Ellen just happened to visit at that time. It made the Sacrament that much more special.

I know that Mary Ellen had a birthday earlier this week. Today is my dad's birthday. I wonder as children if they celebrated their birthdays together? I believe they are now celebrating their birthdays together in heaven.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dear Ron, Roger, and Leah.
I am that girl next door to the south on Washington Ave that remembers your family with great fondness. Growing up in that neighborhood was very special. I especially remember the summers, the pile of crushed rock for fixing streets sitting there with the black pot with the flame in it! My brother, Joe, and I go back to decorate graves and walk through that alley. You would not recognize your house anymore, and ours, that Jensen place, has changed greatly, too. I don't know if you remember, but my grandparents lived next door in the house on the other side of us.
I want you to know how sorry I am about your losing your Mom and just felt the need to say hello and express my condolences.
Also, Leah, you look like your Mom, don't you.
