my sympathy to you all. I am SO sorry to hear that Bobby is gone. It is terrible that we live next to each other and have to find out such sad news this way. I'll miss that grin and wave across the yard. Hugs to you ladies and Chris. Jan

I've worked with Bob for the passed 5yrs. at the Sundowner. Loved his quirky sense of humor and conversations about cameras. I will miss him dearly & I pray for his family's peace & comfort. Until we meet again, My Friend

So I'd like to tell a story.. so after I started working with Bob he'd say hi to me every morning with a smile on his face and he'd always have to give me crap about something aleays messig around anf joking and when I went to get the trash outta the closest he'd sometimes hide it from me... well for about a month I didn't think he knew who I was ... cause I had gone over to his house a few times n had hung out with the family because I was his sons friend.. and one day I had to help him with a shower that was having trouble and he actually brought up a time I had gone over to his house n even said thank you for Jarett and I being his sons friends and said he really liked us and that we had never caused him problems and he enjoyed are company and that was suprising for me because I never once seen him care or express himself like that before and he even said my name in the middle of the story and I honestly didn't think he had remembered me let alone knew my name... and it was just a heart to heart that I never thought I'd ever have with him and that day I truly seen a part of him and i have always remembered that... and he even started giving me crap and told me how much he liked me ?? and from that moment on I really got to know bob... we joked around and i even started to learn how to say clever things back and i remeber always talking music with him.. and boy was he such a music man he was the only one I felt comfortable with at work.. he was 100% true to himself and others and he will be missed dearly! I can say I loved that man for how sweet, and silly he was.. never had anything bad to say and it was one thing I looked forward to was getting to talk to him..I am truly sorry and the family and friends will be In my thoughts.. R.I.P Bob

I remember a picnic we had at Ocean Lake way back in the 1960s with all of the Laytons and Currahs. Bobby was fishing from an inner tube, pretty far out in the lake as I recall, and he was wearing cowboy boots. I always thought that was funny. Good guy. This is really bad news. Heartfelt condolences to all.
