Beckwith, Philip
Cherry, I am so sorry for your lost. It came long before it was supposed to. Phil was one of my very best friends and I will miss him greatly. To Phil's sons, you all have my sincere condolences. God bless you all.
Derick S. Hartshorn - 7/21/2015I am truly sorry to hear of the passing of Chief Beckwith. We served together at MOMAG in Charleston SC in the '70's. My prayers are with his family.

Dear Cherry Ann, Paul, George, and Tom, It is with a heavy heart that we learn of the passing of Phil. I am Bob Hart, Association of Minemen Acting Chaplain and shipmate of Phil. We served together in Yorktown VA, Yokosuka, Japan and in Subic Bay, Philippines, and perhaps somewhere else. My memory isn’t as good as it used to be. Please forgive me. We were good, good friends and I was taken aback when he told me of the Big C. He was put on the Prayer Chain at our church which added 20 more families praying for him. We are so sorry for your loss. God Bless You!
Fair Winds and Following seas brother. You have gone before many of us and paved the way for new and better things. My you always be remembered as the great man you are. God bless you and your family.
Sincerely
