Grigg, John "Tom"
Oh, what a sad day this is. We just heard about Tommy, and it took our breath away. It is the end of an era. The real cowboys are just about all gone. God must have a really big cow herd and cavy of cayuses that need special care. Shirley and family, you are on our minds and in our hearts. May the love of God and the support of family and friends help to ease your sorrow.

Sorry to see Tom pass. We met in Dillon when Tom ran the Matador . He taught me a lot about roping and horsemanship . He was always willing to let me on his horses and he made some outstanding ones. He was kind of the last true cowboys in ever sense of the word.
He will be missed

Tom was always one of my favorites and was a good man. He was always glad to see you and have a visit; friendly and fair in all ways.
We had many good visits at CWC and I loved to hear him tell stories of the younger days working at the Pitchfork and in Montana and rodeoing with Hughie and Bud and many others.
Thoughts and prayers to you all, and we'll meet again sometime further down the trail.
As a young boy traveling with my dad, Martin Christian Sr., I got to know Tommy pretty well and took a lot of ribbings from him. I always considered him my friend and was a better person for knowing him. The last time I saw him was at a Fremont County rodeo and we talked for a long time about his time as a brand inspector working with dad and some of the stunts they pulled together. They were always good friends.
We haven't got the words to tell Tom's family how sorry we are. Thank God for men like Tom, they just don't grow 'em like that anymore.
With our heartfelt sympathy,
The Martin Christian family
Tom will be missed by many, he was always such a great person. Your family is in our prayers during this very difficult time.
